The trials and tribulations of an adventurous modern mom
I started the practice of yoga this week and am realizing how much I need this right now in my life to balance my body, heart and soul. Today I’m dedicating my mantra to someone I love very much. Someone who is about to embark on a long, difficult journey that will impact every part of his body, mind and soul. A journey that will impact me dearly and try to tear me apart.
Diagnosis stage 4 cancer is just a number. It is life or death. Yet you can never ever give up. Never ever stop fighting nor let this battle take you over. There is hope. There is a chance. Yet we don’t know what the outcome will be, we never will. Life is always uncertain and that reality makes life excruciatingly difficult.
“The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don’t have any”. – Alice Walker
Day 1: Friday, November 8th: The devastating news…yet hold on to hope
My journey will be told here as well. I know it is not the journey people want to read about everyday. It is going to be a very difficult road. But I’ve climbed mountains. Many mountains. And I know that we will climb many more.
If I can help or inspire anyone going through this journey in life, then I will feel I’ve succeeded. If I can make my own journey less difficult and more full of love and support, then it is worth exposing my soul.
Day 2: I’m stronger than I think….
